Thank you for considering a position as a substitute teacher in Little Elm ISD. Our mission is to address the individual learning needs of each student who enters our schools. You are encouraged to recognize the important role you play in this plan and seek to engage and equip excellence in our students.
Little Elm ISD, the Board of Trustees and professional staff consider substitute teaching an important part of our total school program. Substitute teachers are welcomed as members of our professional family and will be treated with consideration, courtesy, and respect by all school personnel, parents and students.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Teacher (preferred) Bachelors Degree Associates Degree (or equivalent)
SUBSTITUTE PAY
Daily Sub Pay Rate:
Associates or 2 years of college $80.00
Bachelors Degree $90.00
Certified teacher $100.00 Half day assignments will receive half of the above rates. If a substitute works on a Monday or Friday they will earn $10.00 extra on those days.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Complete a Substitute Teacher Application. Attach a copy of your Official transcripts if you are a degreed applicant Complete the background check form If your application does not meet the above criteria, you will not be contacted.
According to Senate Bill 9, all Little Elm ISD substitutes must submit digital fingerprints for a criminal history review. Once the HR Department has reviewed your application, you will be contacted via e-mail regarding fingerprinting instructions, if applicable. If fingerprinting is required, the fee is $47.00 and will be the respoonsibility of the applicant.
*If you have already submitted fingerprints in the state of Texas for education purposes, we will e-mail you with the details to attend Substitute Orientation.* Once Human Resources receives your fingerprinting results, we will contact you via e-mail through TalentEd with the invitation to attend mandatory Substitute Orientation.
